/. Cosgrave and Co. beg to inform the public that there is an entire revolution in dress, also in the prices of goods. It is necessary it should be so, as Auckland in not in the flourishing position it wae twelve months ago ; it is like all goldfield cities, suffering under a recovery, the working classes are more numerous and money less plentiful. Therefore, the. price* of drapery and clothing must come, doion to suit the times. The population must have clothing suitable for an almost tropical summer. J. Cosgrave and Co. have met the crisis, they have broken down the monopoly of large profits that li'ive reigned here for years past. They are determined the people shall be clad and that cheaply ; a great chance teas offered lately, the stock of a large importer of drapery was in the market, a discount off English cost ivas given, and J. Cosgrave and Co. became the purchasers, hence our extensive and valuable sale of drapery takes place This Day,—[Advt.']

SUPEEME COTTET.—CiviI Cases. The Civil Caußes will come on for hearing next Monday, December 19. The following is the list set down for hearing : — W. White v Piniha and others, Mr. Bevendge for the plaintiff; Samuel F. Horsfall v. G. E. Eead, Mr. Wynn for the plaintiff; Joseph G. Percy v. Christopher Greenway, Mr. Hesketh for the plaintiff ; Andrew Gold v. Robert Workman and others, Mr. Hesketh for the plaintiff ; Huraki Saw Mill Company v. Samuel Cochrane, Messrs. Whitaker and Russell for the plaintiffs ; Walter C. Offord v. E. M. Williams, Mr. MacKechnie for the plaintiff. On the 3rd January, 1871, the following cases will come on for healing : —Mangakahia v. Thomas Craig, Mr. MaeKechnie for the plaintiff (a special jury will be summoned for this case); Brown and another v. Te Kutu, Mr. Weston for the plaintiffs. This case is merely set down for the assessment of damages.
