AUCKLAND REGATTA, 1871.

A meeting of the committee of the Auckland regatta for 1871 was held nt the Club-room, Thames Hotel, last evening. The f'ollowiiii; members were present:—Messrs. FletcherJD. B. Cruickfhank, Williams, Anderson, Waymouth, M. Niccol, and J. Copland. The minutes of the last meeting were read and confirmed. The report of the subcommittee (Messrs. Copland and Fletcher), appointed to draw up a progammo was read, and the following programme adopted : —Ist race—for trading vessels over 25 tons ; 2nd race—trading vessels from 15 to 25 tons ; 3rd race—sailing boats or yachts of any class under 7 tons ; 4th race—licensed cargo boats; sth race—amateur scullers ; 6th race—licensed watermen's boats (pair-oared) ; 7th race —four-oared gigs (the property of any re cognised club in Auckland, rowed by members j Bth race—men-o'-wars'boats; 9tli race—four-oared gigs, open to all comers ; 10th race —merchant ships' gigs ; 11th race— dingies; 12th race —sculling match, singly oar, open to all. Messrs. Henderson and Fletcher were selected to arrange for the printing of the programme, which will be placed before the public early. The regatta will take place on the 30th January.
