CENTRAL BOARD OF EDUCATION.
Ihe Board met yesterday for the usual monthly meeling. Present.: Mr. Lusk (Provincial Secretary) in the chair, Mr. Sheehan and Mr. Swans'on. The minutes of the last meeting were ivad and signed by the Chairman. The consideration of some new applications for aid to schools proposed to be established, was postponed. It was decided to make n grant of books, etc., to the value of £5, to the Kaurihohori school. The Inspector, Mr. O'Sullivun rea t reports of the result of his visit, to various schools, which were ordered to be transmitted to the several school committee. Application for the office of Inspector of Schools, which will be vacant at the end of the year, were received from Mr. Worthington, Papakura, and from Mr. Stevens. These ounsiderationa were postponed. After signing some cheques the Board adjourned. _____ a _______
