The following is the plan of ministerial appointment for 1871 to be recommended to the Wesleyan Conference from the Middle Island District Meeting :—Wellington— Thos. Buddie, G-. S. Harper, Hetaraki Worahi, native assistant. G-reytown—Jame9 A. Cawdell. Wanganui—William Olliver, Or. Sfcannarcl. Rangitikei—Warton .S. Harper. Nelson—William J. Watkin, J. Watkin, J. A. Tailor. Motueko—One from England. Blenheim—J. B. Richardson. Napier—o. W. Thomas. Westport—One wanted. Rev. W. Morloy h»s accepted an invitation from the church at Lyttelton. Mr. W. S. Harper, late of Auckland, lias been recommended for the list of probationers. Mr. Thomas was subject to the usual examination, having been three .years on probation. His examination papers wore considered satisfactory, and a course of study was presented for him for the ensuing year. With reference to a separate conference for New Zealand, it was unanimously agreed, after careful consideration, to ask the Australian conference to constitute the >'ew Zealand circuits into a conference. It will be seen that the district meeting which/ has just sat in this town, have come toi/i opposite conclusion.
The post-office in this province known as Papatoitoi, has, by Gazette notice, beenchanged to Woorlside; that of Mahurangi to Waikworth ; Mahurangi Heads to Mahurangi, and Mahurangi Central to Craigeburn.

They are determined the peopU shall be clad and that cheaply ; a great chance was offered lately, the stock of a large importer of drapery was in the market, a discount off English cost was given, and J. Cosgrave. and Co. became the -purchasers, hence our extensive and valuable sale of drapery takes place Thin Day. — [Advt.^\
