The following are the names of the best sho( s in the Auckland Rifles, who will take part in the Colonial prize firing, and who have made the best shooting at the butts: —Captain Clark, Lieutenants Morrow and SomerviUe, Ensign Skinner, Sergeanta Cameron, MeConnell, Dufaur, and Osborne, Corporals Ellis; Morrow, and Soall, and privates Duff, Kelly, Stewart, Hyett,Atkin, Provo, McLean, Evitt,'.Bell, Morrow, Walker, Mclntosh, Naughton, and Clarke. The scores made by each of thy above have already been published in this journal. " • The members of the Naval Volounteers yesI terday proceeded to the butts for the pur- | pose of preiiminavy shooting. i* The first Monrlay evening parade of tlta Bifl.es was held last evening at the Drill-ahed. There was by no means a large attendance. On Thursday evening next the usual month iy parade, will be held, at which every member is expected to be present.
