"Bail allowed, his own bond, arid another security for £50 each. Assatjit.—Martha White was charged by Amelia Williams with having assaulted her by- striking- her on the chest, and pushing her. — Mr. Bennett for the deence. — .Amelia Williams deposed : On being sent for by the little girl of defendant, and going .to. the house defendant struck ■me on the chest.— To Mr. Bennett: Gave her no provocation, Had spoken to her about her having abused a child staying with her. —Laurence Miles deposed : On the 24th inst. prosecutor sent for me, and told me about my child being illtreated. Mrs. While sent for me, and also for prosecutor, who repeated the statement. Mrs. White ordered her to go out; but she repeated the charges, and would not go, and Mrs. White shoved her out. There was no blow struck. —Case dismissed, with costs.
