The clipper barque Novelty cleared at the Customs this morning, for Sydney, -with the following passengers : — Mr. Eobrrts, Miss Lcith, Mr. Wilson, Mr. J. C. Parley, Mr. and Mrs. Fiibby, William, John, Charles, and George Fubby, Mr.- and Mrs. Johnson, Mr. S. Main, Mr. E. Wilson, Mr. A. Knight, Mrs. Clarke and infant, Mr. P. Pureell, Mr. J. Andrews, Mr. E. Turnbull, Mr. J. Hope, Mr. James Taylor, Messrs. fl. Parsons, B. Stokes, J. Habdary. The schooner signalled yesterday arrired in harbour early this morning, and proved to be the Sea Gull, from the Bay of Islands, with a cargo of 160 tons coal ta order. ,; ; . ,-,.-, The smart schooner Kauri is advertised to leave for the Fijis to-morrow. The Circular Saw Company's ss. Lord Ashley, Capt. Andrew, arrived in harbour at 12 o'clock last night, from Tauranga and Southern ports. She left Port Chalmers on Tuesday, October 4th, at 6 p.m.; arrived at Jjyttelton on Wednesday, the sth, at noon. Fine weather. ' Filled up with grain, for Auckland, and left on Thursday, 6th, at 7.40. Arrived in Wellington on Friday, 7th, at 6 p.m. Took in cargo for Napier, and left on Sunday, at 3.30 p.m. Fine weather. Arrived at Napier on Monday, the 10th, at 2 iP.m.• .Discharged cai'go, and took in cattle for Ta'uranga; and -left on ; Tuesday, the 11th,; at noon. Fine weather. Bounded the East Cape on Wednesday, 12th, at 6 am ; arrived at,Tauranga at 9 p.m. on, the same evening. Thick weather. Stood out to sea till daylight; crossed the bar on Thursday. 13 th, at 5 a.m.; discharged cattle, sheep, and cargo, and left again at 9:4£.same morning. - r .Passed Cap?
