NAVAL VOLUNTEERS' PRIZE FIRING.

The Naval Volunteers proceeded to the butts, Point Chevaliejyyestdraay, to compete for a rifle presented by J. T. MacKelvie, Esq., and a few other prizes. The . Volunteers were under the command of Captain G-uildLig, and the other officers -who were on the ground were Major Tisdall, Lieutenant Le Roy, Dr. Watling, Sergeant-Major Brougham. The strons; wind, blowing in fitful puff* over the range, militated very much against accurate shooting, but, nevertheless, the average was very fair. J.'riva'e J. Co le made the top score, of 42 points, and private'J. Keefe the second^ of 32. The following is the score "•—
