SEROUS ACCIDENT AT THE THAMES.

Yesterday morning a very serious accident took place at the Wandering Star claim, which might have ended the lives of two men, who by their own carelessness had placed themselves in such danger, but fortunately it hns turned out otherwise. It appears that John Collins, the manager of the claim, was pouring out some powder for a blast into an open utensil of some description, and was too near the forge, when a spark therefrom alighted on it, and caused an explosion, severely burning Collins about the arms, and also tho smith, Richard Mann. Eoth of the men were at once conveyed to their homes, and medical gentlemen were speedily in attendance.
