The "result of the Plebiscite has practically 'resto __ personal government. Ollivier's position becomes daily more precarious. In consequence of two defeats last week, he challenged a vote of confidence and found no opposition, as the party does not desire a premature crisis. There is a rupture between two sections of the Left. The Due de Grammont has entered upon the duties of the Foreign Office. Saqueroniere has been appointed Ambassador to Constantinople; Jour L'Auvergne, Minister to Vienna; and Paradel to Washington. The Due de Magenta has again requested to be relieved of the Governorship of Algeria. Victor Noyes' father has died of grief. The Emperor is suffering from gout.
