London, July 13. The London journals censured Prim's project to place Hohenzollern on the throne of Spain. On the 10th and 11th it was considered imminent; a panic occurred on the Exchange and the Bourse, France is awaiting Prussia's reply before declaring war; the Spanish troops are in motion on the frontier. The French Press is warlike, and there are dissensions in the French Cabinet on the question of peace or war. The King of Prussia acknowledged to authorising Prince Hohenzollern's acceptance of the Crown, and France demands his refusal to reign in Spain. The Prussian journals say that Prussia is disinterested, but cannot lower her dignity by interfering in Spain's selection; the British Ministry regrets such strong language. On the 28th July the Spanish Ambassador at Paris was notified by the father of Hohenzollern of the latter's renunciation of his candidature, and the general belief is that peace is now secured. Baron Lessep<? has visited London, and was decorated with the Star of India. Mr. King is knighted. The Irish Land Bill was read a third time in the Lords. Obituaey.—Serjeant Kinglako ; Vantoyle, Bishop of Kilniore.
