Perkins, for calls due in winding up, was stated; by Mr. Tyler, for Mr. Otway, to haivobecn settled out of Court. DKUNTCENNESS. Joseph Harper, and Margaret Brainsbury were each fined rss, or to be imprisoned 24 hours. John Leonard.pd John Woods, for third, offences, were each fined 20s and costs, and to be imprisoned seven days* : T. Wilson, for being drunk and disorderly, was fined 20s, and to bo imprisoned seven days. MUNICIPAL POLICE /ACT,. The same'defendant was charged with having, on the 24th instant, wilfully broken a pane of glass in the window of F. Lee, in Wakefield-street. ' / A Jad (John 0/Hara) deposed to,his having, falleniwith his hands and head through the window j and F. Lee to the value of tho glass, 7s. 6d. .'■ ' .*;/■ ■■••", Sentenced to a fine of 10s and cbsls, and the cost of the glass ; or in default, to be' impri soned seven days; " ' . Antonio Gussy, for allowing a pig to wan der, was fined ss. LICENSING ACT. Roland Campion was charged by Constable Clarke with having, on the morning of the 19th July kept his licensed house, the Club Hotel, open after legal hours, viz., half-past twelve a.m. Mr. Hesketh for the defence.'' Constable Clarke deposed : I was passingin Shortland-streety at ten minutes-past twelve a.m., when seeing the house open I drewhis attention to the fact. I went to Bartlett'e? clock and saw the hour, and returning again asked him to close the house. I asked the people to leave, and some did so, but getting no assist ance from the p?oprieter, I desisted. _ i-rnest Koberts, deposed : I am a waiter; at "Campion's hotel. On this occasion I had shut the upstairs bar,* and half-shai the lower bar. I'he "largejioor was shut, the,little oi)e open«: :-Hadtold the pebpje to leave, and was waiting •for "that purpose. MrI.* Campion had alsb,asked them to go out. I heard him tell the barmaids to notsuprly any nidre drinks, and they were packing up to leave. I hadp'tit two lights out. P. Crcpin deposed to there being no! supplying of drinks, and to Mr. Campipirh'aving aaked them to leave.
Mr._ Heskttk again tendered the evidence of Mr. Campion. The Bench declined to receive the evidence, and dceided that, though laid as a complaint, it was in r.ality au information. The case was dismissed as being informally brought.
The Court then rose.
