'WOODSTOCK'
FROM OPOTIKI,
THREE MORE DESERTERS COME IN.
ROPATA'S EXPEDITION STARTED
By the arrival of the Woodstock, to-day, from Opotiki, we have received intelligence confirming in every particular the news published by us yesterday. The Woodstock has made a run of thirty-six hours from that port, and her master, Captain Baker, mtorms us that three men additional have since come in from Te Kooti, and desire i to know if the Government would do anything to them it they all came in and abandoned their leader. These three men were detained to likewise accompany the expedition under Colonel bt. John. From Captain Jones, master of the schooner Colonist, we have further learned that iust before his leaving Poverty Bay for this port on Monday last, Bopala had arrived there with 400 men, and was about to leave a^ain on Wednesday in pursuit. We have every reason to believe that the end is not far distant, and that a few days more will bring decisive events in the career of To Kooti.
