Patrick M'Donald, charged with this offence, was fined 5s and costs, or to be imprisoned for 48 hours' with hard labour.
PROTECTION OEDEE
Mr Brock appeared to make application under the provisions of the " Act to Protect the Property of Married Women," in a ease of wife desertion since 1865. The facts of the case were deposed to, and an order made in accordance with clause 2 of the Act, commencing the Ist January, 1866.
