21 NATIVES DROWNED
AT ROTARTJA.
Thb s.s. Tauranga arrived in harbour this morning from Tauranga, having left there on the previous evening. ~ There is no further native news. Te Kooti is reported to be still at Opotiki. A report had reached Tauranga that a boat had been capsized at Kotarua Lake, and that an influential chief and 23 natives were drowned. ..'■■
