The cutter Woodstock has jtisfc arrived in harbour, bringing later news from the East Coast. She left Opotiki on Sunday last, and Captain Baker informs us that on Saturday last two ofTe Kooti's men came in to the camp and surrendered to the Government. They stated that Te Kooti was still in the Waikawera Gorge, having only twenty men with him, and that it was his intention to remain in that district unless disturbed by our people. A party were to go out on Monday in search of Te Kooti.
