ACCIDENT ON THE HAPE CREEK TRAMWAY.
A very serious accident, which nearly proyed fatal, occurred on the Hape Creek to-day. A man named Daniel Fleeland, who was at Trork at the Hape Creek tramway, was engaged in rolling a log on the line when the embankment gave way, and Fleeland was precipitated down between a boulder and the bank. He was half buried in the earth, and onbeing extricated it was found that he had sustained a very severe cut on the calf of the leg, where 1 he was crushed against the boulder.
