In all events throe horses to start or only half the stakes will be paid ; two to start or no race. 2. Nominations will close at the Wheatsheaf Hotel, Her.d of the Bay, Lyttelton, on the 30th January, and must be addressed to the Secretary, with a lull- account of all previous performances, pedigree, color and age, together with the accessary amounts of cash. Weights on ihe 18th February ; acceptances and entries on 271h February. 3. The district comprises Port Victoria Road District, Lyttleton, Purau, Port Levy, Kaitunt, ami Gebbie's Valley. 4. All horses that run in District and Comity Races must have been the bona fide property of residents in the district or county respectively for at least two months prior to race date. 5. C. J.C rales adhered to. ! 6. No person allowed to run a horse unless a subscriber of at least one guinea to the race funds. 7. All horses to be ridden in colors to be furnished to the Secretary, with entries. 8- No horse shall be allowed to run in open or county races that has won over £40 at one time. 9. All. horses competing in district races shall carry one stone over weight-for-age, together with a 51b penalty for eyery £10 they have ever won. 10.
