CARRIAGE ROAD, LE BON'S.
To the Editor.
Sib, —In your Tuesday's paper I have noticed a letter referring to this road, signed %i Fair Play." [ should like to advise this guardian of the public not to blunt his nose by meddling with work that is not finished ; and as to the spending of public money, if he is the person I think, I should advise him to draw the beam out of his own eye before he ventures to meddle with the splinter in his brother's. It would be far better if he would call the Road Board's attention to the fact that some years ago certain men received a large amount of public money, in the shape of compensation for this said road passing through their lando, and I understand they were paid at the rate of 30s a chain for the fencing both sides of the road, but the road is unfenced yet, and tbe road is obstructed by fences across. Their cattle enjoy the herbage of the sweet grass on the road, ami are the real cause of its destruction and impissable condition. " Fair Play" speaks about the money spent by some of them in buying land, some grog, and some long coats und belltoppers. Try, Mr " Fair Play," if this cap can (it your rorroHpondent. In the meantime,! remain—Yours, etc.,
FOUL PLAY. Lβ Bon's Bay, Nov. 13,1882.
