Owing to the pievailing dry weather and hot winds in Victoria, a failuieof the crops, especially wheat, is feared.
Received October 16, 1.55 p.m. ACCIDENT AT CAULFIELD RACES.

During the ra> c for the Findon Haulers Gold Vase (gentlemen riders) at the Caulfield meeting on Saturday, Mr MePhnTs hunter La-rikin fell, and his rider (Mr Bonnop) was seriously injured, and is now delirious.
