Report for the week ending Friday evening, the Ist inst.: — Grass Seeds—The supply for the present much exceeds the demand ; holders are asking 5s to 5s 9d for first class samples ; second rate samples are not saleable.
Potatoes —Sales have been made during the week at from 37s to 40.s at country st-itions, Backs extr;\ Kidney potatoes, £4 10s to £5 per ton. Cheese and Butter—Last week's quotations must be repeated, although it is probable that next week prices will he down. Chtese, 7£d to 8d per lb. Butter, potted, Is ; fresh, Is 4d per lb.
