Mails close at the Post Office for the following places, as under:— United Kingdom. C mtinents of Europe aud America, etc., via f-nn Francisco— Saturday. 12th August, at 6.45 a.m. Chris fehur h, Lyttelton (via Pigeon Bay), German Bay, Robinson's Bay, Duvauchelle, and Pigeon B .y. on Mondays, Wednesdays, ami Fridays, at 7.45 a.m. 'Christchurch (via B rdling's Flat), German Bay, Robinson's Bay, Duvauchelle, B irry's Bay, and Little River, on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, at 6.45 a.m. Le Bou's Bay, Okain's Bay, and Little Akaloa, on Tuesdays and Fridays, at 7.45 a.m. Wainui—Tuesdays, at 6.45 a.m. Notice.—The receiving box at Garwood & (Jo. _ store is cleared 15 minutes before the mails close at the Post Office, and at 2 p.m. daily.
