Report for the week ending Friday evening, the 23rd inst :— The stale of the mnrket thi-s week is precisely similar to the preceding, busi ■ nei-s exceedingly quiet, with but little alteration in values. Wheat- The market is slightly easier. Good sound niilUnjr i« worth 4s 10d to 5s per bushel, f.0.b.; second quality, 4s 3d to 4s Gfl per bushel ; chick wheat, 3s 3d to 4s per bushel; seed wheat, 5s 3d to 5s Gd per bushel. Oats—There is no alteration to note in the state of the market. Milling sorts. 3s 3d to3s4d per bushel ; feed. 3* Id to 3s 2(1 per bushel ; seed samples, 3s 9d to 3a lOd per bushel. Barley—Prime malting quality, 4s 6d to 4s 7d per bushel ; second quality malting, 3s 9dto 4s 3d per bushel ; feed, 3« 3d to 3s Gd per bushel. Potatoes—Little or no business has been transacted during the week, and in absence of actual sales it is difficult to give reli - able quotations ; approximate, 35s to 37s 6d at country stations. Grass Seed—No business doing at present. Cheese and Butter—G£d per lb for the former, Is Id for the latter.
