Report for the weekending Friday evenmg, the 16th iriwt :— There ib no change to report in the state of the market (luring the past week. Business is still exceedingly quiet, but for nearly all claHsee of produce prices are firm, and at present there id no indication of any alteration. Wheat—Last week's rates must be repeated. Good milling <$unlity. 4a 10d to 5s Id per bushel f.0.b.; second quality, 4s 3d to 4h 6d per »>nwh«l; chick wheat. 3h 3d to 4b μ-r bushel ; seed wheat, 58 3d to 5s Gil per bushel. Oats—A slisjhtiy improved demand has been visible during the week. No quotable alteration in value*, however, can be recorded. Milling quality, 3s 3d to 3s 4d per bushel ; feed, 3s Id to 3a 2d per bushel. Barley—-The demand for prfuie malting quality is good for this clbpb 4a 6d to 4s 7d could be readily obtained. Second class uniting is in larger supply, but is not in much request, 3s 9d to 4s 3d per bushel being the value ; feed samples are more saleable, at from 3s 3d to 3s 6d per bushel. Benns nnd Peas— The former are worth 4a 4d to 4-! 6;1, f.0.b.; the latter according to quality, 4-* to &-<. Potatoes—The fall in the Sydney market appears to have cast a shade over this. Holders, however,. are firm, although business in the tuber is inactive ; 35s to 37b 6.1, at country stations, may be quoted aa the values at which business) could be done. Grasa seed is entirely noglected at present. Cheese and Buttor—The fonnor is worth <s£d to 6d per lb ; the latter Is to Is Id per lb.
