Intelligence is to hand that Sir Henry Parlcee has visited Antwerp and Ghent, and inspected the leading factories. He was th.' recipient of complimentary banquets at both places. He leaves Europe in a-mouth's time for Sydney.

It has transpired that the Marquis de Noaillos, the French Ambassador, is pressing the representatives of other Powers and the Porte, to agree to the holding of a Conference for the settlement of the Egyptian question.
