(Sydney, May 25. Sailing tin.*- afternoon, steamship Arawata, for Auckland.
A grand review of the permanent Artillery and Volunteer forces took place yesterday, in Moore Park, before the Governor ; 1548 men were under arms, and tbey were warmly complimented upon their appearance and offioiency by His Excellency.
Melbourne, May 24
The Government Printing Office has been partially gutted by a fire which occurred to-day, and which has now been extinguished. The damage Is not so great as at first believed, but considerable loss has been occasioned.
Adelaide, May 24
The Adelaide Queen's B rthday Cup, run for to-day, resulted as follows: — Darebin 1, Crystal 2, Topaz 3. There were 15 starters, and Darebin won by a length and a quarter.
