Petition of the undersigned, JL representing not less than onethird of the ratepayers in the Akaroa and Wainai Road District, and possessing not lest than one-half of the rateable property in the said District. Humbly sheweth— That it is undesirable to he rated by both the Road Board and County Council. That, for various obvious reasons, it is expedient that the Akaroa and Wainai Road Board should be abolished, and the said Road District merged into the County.
