Me Lyons' Plbasuue Party.—After quite a dearth of amusements, many will be glad to hear that Mr Lyons' clever troupe will arrive here by the Penguin from the South next week, and open in the Oddfellows' Hall on the 15th inst with " The Isle of Tulipatam " and a Musical Burletta. Of the former the Lyitelton Times says : —" In the after piece, '■ The Isle oil Tulipatatn,' the company, including now Miss E. Fox. Miss Amy Horton, and Master S. M'Lean, kept the audience in a state of perpetual merriment, by their excellent delivery of the dialogue and their capital acting. The harlequinade was a. remarkably clever performance by the following :—Miss Emily Fox, Harlequin ; Miss Nina Tullocli, Columbine ; Master J. S. Parlato, Pantaloon ; Master S. M'Lean, Clown ; and Mr J. S. Farron, Policeman. At intervals during the Pantomime, Miss Amy Horton sang several of her character songs, iuciuding the " local" song of which mention was made yesterday, and which secured an encore. The dancing and posturing of Miss Fox and Miss Tullocli, and the fooling of M= sters Parlato and S. M'Lean were often and loudly applauded. The dresses and other appointments of this entertainment are really good, and the whole programme is one which cannot fail to attract. '* It is to be hoped this clever troupe will be well patronised during its short stay in Akaroa.
