Sir, —In your issue of this dny mention is made of a note I sent to Mr Coop, and of my having had a letter from the Hon. John Hall. 1 sent no nqte to Mr Coop, and I had no communication from the ITon John Hall, but I did receive iroin the Acting Minister for Public Works the letter of which you have a copy in your Peninsula news column, and this I sent to Mr Cocp for Ms information. Yours, etc.,
