COUNTY ELECTION.
To the Editor.
Sir, — As the redresser of every wrong fancied or real, I appeal to you in my extremity why my name does not show on the roll of electors for my riding. Judge my surprise, when I applied to the elderly gentleman who gives out the voting papers, to be told that no ladies xoereon the Roll. The gentleman was very polite, but still that does not satisfy me in not being able to constitutionally record my vote for Mr . I know lam a ratepayer, for I have just squared off Barwick. 1 think lam a person, as mentioned in the 40th verse of tv The Counties Act," but on this last, if you cannot help mo, Mr Editor, I will consult Mr Barker, who I see is to be back in the Council, to keep them straight, so he says.—Yours etc., A BRITISH FEMALE.
