A CORRECTION.

To the Editor. Sih, —I notice in your issue of the 28th ulto., a letter signed " A Cockatoo," in which he accuses a certain gentlemen (who is carrying the petition round for Rignitures to abolish the Akaroa and Wainui Road Board) of writing a letter appearing in your issue of 21st ulto., signed " An Old Resident." As "Cockatoo'"seems to have taken the letter very much to heart, I wish him to distinctly understand that the gentleman he accuses did not write and furthermore knew nothing about the said letter signed by yours, as before, AN OLD RESIDENT.
