Wools of mediun: quality show no alteintion, and faulty descriptions are to be obtained on easier terms. The finer sorts of crossbred h, from Is to Is per Ib, are we'l competed for, but the coarser kinds are still weak. Good greasy lambs sell at about same rates, but weouredtj are much neglected. Capos are in large supply. Best scoured whites may be quoted nt JrtHt sale's prices, but otlmr descriptions rule -£d to Id per Ib lower. Up to the present time about 10,000 bales have been withdrawn.

Wheat mid Flour.—Our wheat market is rather easier than it was o fortnight ago, the. high prices now ruling having caused liberal offers of grain to be made from the United States, but the urgent requirements r>l millers here have kept prices pretty linn, the decline being only Is to Is G't )><-r qr. In «nived parcels at ports of call Australian whoat has been selling at 55s to 55s 6d, while on passage near at luinil cargoes are offered nt 55a 6'l, c.f. and i. terms. Now Zealand wheat cargoes on passage, July shipments, have been sold nt 52s 3d and 52a 6d per 480ll>s. Flour is nlightly dear, but trade is dull. New Zealand barley commands more attention, and N.Z onts are rather firmer. We quote- Australian wheat of average quality at 50s to 57s ; New Zealand long herried, 5G5t058.-<; average quality, 55s to 56>; and inferior, 52s to 54s per 49GH>s. Australian flour, MiperHne, 39s Gd to 41s Gd ; households, 37s to 39s ; Now Zealand, 36s to 38* pm 28011)8. Fine malting N.Z. barley, 4% to 45s per 4481 bs. New Zealand heans, 4Gs to 5Us per 5041b5. Fine New Zealand oats, 32s Gd to 33s ; common feed. 25a to 28s per imperial qr; Australian peas, 38s io 40s per 5041bs ; and Now Zealand oatmeal, 200 dto 220s per ton. Tallow' and Hides.—The demand for Austr.ili n tallow has been very good, and prices have advanced considerably, the valuo to—day of good to fine mutton being 37b to 38s Gil, find fair to fine beef 36s to 37s 6d per cvvt. Superior qualities are also in good request, and realise good comparative prices The storks in importers' linnds n')W amount to about 9000 casks. Hides wero not in active request at tho last auction, hut for the poition sold previous prirea were obtained. W.- quote heavy ox, s|<l to light, s]d ; cuwb, and second-ciaas 4sd to 4£d per lb.
