CORN EXCHANGE.
The following ia tho report for the week ending Friday, October 7th :—There is no change to report in the state of this market during the week. Business is exceelingly quiet. The weather has been extemely favorable for farming operations. Wheat—Good sound milling s .mples are worth from 4s 6*l to 4s 9d per bushel, f.0.b.; second qu.lity, 4a to 4s 4d ; chick wheat, 3s to 3s 6d per busliel. Oats—There is no appearance of any improvement in the market. Good short milling quality, 2s 3d pur bushel, fo.b. ; feori samples. 2s to 2s 1-1 ; long oats, la 10d to 2s. The market is dull. Bnrley—Good limiting samples are saleable at from 2s 9d to 3s 4d per bushel ; eecond clasp, 2s 3d to 2s 7d ; feed, Is 9d to 2s per bushel. Potatoes—A few orders are coining to hand and are beine: executed at from 25s to 30s per ton f.o.b. It is almost hopeless that any very decided change for the better in values will take place, the season is now so far advanced and the quantities held are such as to preclude hope. Grass Seed— There is little or no busi - ness doing. Well cleaned farmers' parcels 5s Gil to 6s 9<l per bushel; indifferently ceaned according to sample.
