Best milling samples are worth 4s Gil to 4s 91 per bushel, f.o b.; second quaity, 4s to 4s 4-1 per bushel ; chick wheat, 3a to 3i 6d per buthel. Oats.—The market continues very dull. The downward tendency quote.! last week i« still very apparent. This state of things appears to be consequent on a paucity of orders from the intercolonial ports. Good djort milling samples, 2s 3d per bushel, f.o.b. ; feed samples, 2s to 2s 2d per bushel ; long oats, Is 10d to 2s per bushel. parley,—First-class malting samples are still in good demand, nnd are worth from 2s 9d to Si 4d per bushel ; second-class samples are heavy of sale at from 2s 3d to 2s 7<l per bushel ; feed samples, Is 9d to 2s per bushel. Potatoes.—The ominous words of the Maori prophet, ''The potato is cooked." uttered some months ago, and over which there was much speculation as to what it might portend, have at last received some elucidation in'the utter co.lapse of the potato market ; at least potutoe holders are piono to think that the saying had a covert allusion to what has now transpired. Prices are nominal. Grass Seed.—The season may be said to he now over. There is still an occasional order coming to hand. Good clean samples are worth from 5s 6d to 5s per .bushel ; cocksfoot, to 3$ ncr Ib. Cheese and Butler.-3d to 3£d for the former, new keg 7d per Ib.
