PUBLIC NOTICE. : "VTOTICE is hereby given, that a PUBLIC MEETING of the Ratepayers of the above District will be held at the Office, Duvauchelle's Bay, on Saturday, the Ist day of October, 1881,! at 12 noon, for the purpose of considering the question of Stopping all those portions of the undermentioned Roads in the said Road District and County of Akaroa. . Ist. All that portion of the Old Duvaucliella's Bay Road forming respectively the north-eastern and southwestern boundary of Rural Sections 332, 856, and 752, Duvauchelle's Bay, 2nd. All that portion of the Le Bon's Road commencing at the junction of the said Le Bon's Bay Road with the Valley Road, German Bay, and forming respectively the south-eastern and northwestern boundary of Rural Sections 1922 and 881, till it joins the south- '■ eastern corner of 186, and from thence running through Section 1922 till it again joins the eastern boundary of 186, and from thence forming the northern and southern boundary of Rural Sections ' 2388, 1922. till it joins the said Le Bon's Bay Road. "VTOTICE is hereby given, in terms ; l>l of section 40 of " The Rating ; Act, 1876," that the Akaroa and Wainui Road Board, at the meeting to be held on Saturday, the, Ist day of October next, intend to make a Rate of Ninepence in the <£ on all rateable property in the said Road District for the period ending the 31st day of March, 1882, and that the said Rate will become payable on the Ist day of November, 1881, in one instalment, at the Office of. the said Board.
