The Cows are mostly young, and, with the Heifers, are the progeny of pure Durham Shorthorns, selected from the well-known herd of Mr Bluett, of Leeston. , The whole, are quiet and easily liancllecl, and are beinpf sold solely on account of the owner turning his proprrty into a sheep farm, and comprise— 50 COWS in calf, / 12 two - year - old well - bred ; r;-, ; 'HEIFERS in calf, alul ... ..;, 20 two and three - y'dar - old STEKRS. NOTICE OF STOPPAGE OF ROAD. ~\J OTICE is hereby given, that the J_\ Okain's Bay Road Board propose, in accordance with " The Public Works Act, 1880," te stop all that piece of road, containing by admeasurement five acres, more or less, and known as part of the Old Okain's Bay Road, situated in the Okain's Bay Road District, in the County of Akaroa, commencing at the west corner of section 15,437, thence running in a southwesterly direction, dividing sections 19,371, 10,540, 34,516,20,956, 19,547, and I'J,3G3, for a distance of 50 chains, more or less, to where it joins the Summit Road, as tlie same is delineated on plan, and colored green. And the said Road Board further give notice that -the plans of the road proposed to be stopped are open for inspection at the residence of Mr W.
