Mi re p.—At Aldington Yards a gooi] supply of butchers' eross-breds came forward, for which description the sale opened brisk, and the bulk of tlie various lots changed hands at satisfactory prices. Prime crose-bierl wethers sold from 17s to 19s; g.ood do, from 15s to lGs; medium do, 12s 6d : prime merino, 10s 6d ; good do, 9s. We quote a shade upwards of 2|tl per lt> as nn average. Good forward conditioned cross-bred store wetliers realised 10s 3d eiu'h.
Cattle.—A very large .supply of good and prime fat cattle were offoml, but biddings were not quite so brisk as at late Hales, and prices were slightly lower. Prime bullocks solil from £10 15s to £11 17s 6d ; pood do. from £8 to £7 10s. We quote 27s per 1001b ns nn nverngo for prime beef. The bulk of the above cattle, it may be mentioned, came from South Canterbury. Pigs.—There was a fair supply of pigs, for which prices ruled a sliaiie higher than those obtained for some weeks.
