Messrs E Matson and Co. report:— On Thursday, at our Canterbury Wool Stores, we held our tisiul weekly sale of the above, everything being cleared at quotations as under, viz:— Butchers' best crossbreda, 6s to 6s lid each; second quality, 5s to 5a lid each ; niediuu., 3s 6<l to 4s lid each ; butchers' best merinos, 3d 6d to 4s 5d each ; second quality, 2s 9d to 3s 5d each ; mediums, 2>» to 2s 8 i. Best country dry skine mailo from 4s Gd to 5s 8d each; others from 1h 3d .to 3s 3d each, as per description. Butchers' best rough fat, 2£d to 2f d per Ib ; second quality, 2d to 2|l per Ib ; none nt a less figure. Hides, 4d per !•; damaged hides, 2|d per Ib ; calfskins, 4il pur ll>. Tallow in bags, 2d to 2§ 1 per Ib ; do, in casks, 23b 6d and 24s 6d, as per quality.
