AKAROA RESIDENT MAGISTRATE'S COURT.
+ Fuiday, July 8.
Before Justin Aywier Esq., R.M. BREACH OF BOROUGH BYE-LAWS. Etiene Lelievre waa charged with driv ing cattle during prohibited hours. There appeared to be a doubt as to the time when the driving took place, and the case was dismissed. Oi vi 7 casks Oldridgo v. McMillan. Claim £13 3s 4d. Mr Henning appeared for the plaintiff. Judgment by consent for amount claimed with costs, and solicitor's fee. McMillan v. Oldridge. Claim £22 for services rendered. Mr Henning for defendant. This account ran from some time in 1879, since which time plaintiff had repeatedly mad* payments to defendant. _ His Worship said the account struck him as a trumped up one. Judgment would be for defendant with costs, and solicitor's fee. The Court then adiourned.
