WOOL, SHEEPSKINS, FAT, HIDES, AND TALLOW REPORT.
Messrs H Mateon and Co. report:— On Thursday, at our Canterbury Wool Stores, we held our usual weekly sale of the above. We catalogued 27G7 sheepskins, BUox hides, and 140 bags and packages of rough tat und tallow. There was an avci'tigu attendance, and all lots were, were cleared at about last week's quotations. Butchers' best cross-bred skins brought sd, to Gs Id ; medium do, 4s to 4s 9d ; dry suina and country lots, 3a 6d to sa. Debt merinos, 3s 4d, to 4a (one parcel to 4s Gd) ; fair to medium, 2n 6d to Bs. fciaited ox Lndes brought 4d per lb. ; cull'--4d per lb. Rough iat, 2d to 2£d pur lb ; medium tallow, 'I>U Gd per cwt.
