WOOL, SHEEPSKINS, FAT, HIDES, AND TALLOW REPORT.
Messrs 11. Matson and Co. report :— On Thursday, at our Canterbury Wool Stores, wo held our usual weekly sale of the above. Quotations as under, viz :—Butchers' best crossbred skins brought 5s to 5s 9d ; and one good line brought 7s 8d each ; second quality, 4s to 4s lid ; medium 2s 9d lo 3s lid. Butchers' best merinos, 3s to 3s lCd each ; second quality, 2s to 2s lid each ; medium, Is Gd to Is lid each. Dry full-wool skins, 4s Gd to Gs Gd each ; crossbred and merino pelts and •inferior skins, 2d to Is each; butchers' best dry rough fat, 2jd to 2| 1 per lb; second quality, 2d to2£d peril); none below the latter figure ; salted hides, 4d ; damaged hides, 2£d per lb ; calfskins, 4£d per •lb ; tallow, iHs to 21s Gd per cwt.
