STOCK REPORT.

' There was a large attendance at the Addington Yards on Wednesday, when 4717 sheep, 271 head of cattle, and 56 pigs were yarded. Sheep.—The supply of fat sheep was very good, in fact a better show of good and prime quality crossbreds and merinos has not be"ti seen in these yards for some months past, and consequently there was a drop in prices of fully one shilling and sixpence per head compared with Inte rates. 'Only a few stores came to hand, and these were easily disposed of at prices equal to lute quotations. Prime crosH-breds realised from 18s to 19s Gd each ; good ditto, from 13e to 15b ; medium, from 10s to lis 6d. Prime merinos brought 12s 9d ; good ditto from 10s Gd to lis !)d. We quote 2fd per lb as an average for mutton. Cattle.—Tho fat cattle class was only indifferently represented, those to hand being of second and medium quality, which •were dull of sale at last.week's prices. We quote 20s per 1001b as an average for beef. A few pens of yong stores were disposed (if at fair rates ; best three year-old heifers brought £4 17s 6d ; do steers, £5. Pigs.—On account of the limited supply of pigs, the biddings were keener than at ■last week's sale. Best lots realised £2.
