The North Olapo Times hears that last week between 30 and 40 head of eat tie died on an estate near Oainaru. Death is supposed to hive been caused by the cattle eating rape before the fiost had thawed in the morning.

The business part of the evening was enlivened by some songs by the Gchool-chiJdien, recitations and instrumental pieces, the president also reading soma well-writcn pipers on Church work generally, The following gentlemen were eluded as vestrymen for ensuing year—'Messrs Robinson, Hutl, C. Moore. E. \V. Harris, J Moore, W. Moore and S. Harris. Votes of thanks having been passed Jo the retiring committee, the Lay-raader, Mr ITiitr, and to all of these who had assisted to enliven the evening. The meeting closed by singing IJymn 13i.i.
