M.-s<ra John Shaw & Sons, of 37, Mark 1 lie London, report through their agent, Mr Leonard Blake, of Christchurch, that the market for the fortnight ending March 11th was a lilile better, rather more disposition to purchase having shown itself ; the back wind state of the season, howiycr, which was fully three weeks late, owing to continued bad weather, confined the demand to unusually narrow limits. Somewhut easier terms were accepted for ordinary samples of red clover, but choice samples were still in small supply. Alsyke, white clover, and trefoil found buyers at about previous quotations. Sainfoin showed an advance of from 2s to 3s per qr. For rye grasses there was a readier hale at increasing rates. Canary again harder. More enquiry for blue peas.
