STOCK REPORT.
There was a fair attendance of buyers at the Addington Yards in Wednesday, when 7175 sheep and 362 cattle were yarded. Bidding were more animated i'or nil dcs riptimia or" frit stork than at the previous saU-, and there was also a good demand for store sli.-.-p. Store cnttle were dull of sale, the bulk being turned out unsold.
Sheep.—Prime cross-breds sold at 12s 6d ; medium and good ditto ie**li«ed from 8-> 6I to 10s G'l; merinos, from 7* to 7s Ud. We quote mutton at 2d per lit. Fat lambs sold at from 7h 3d to 8s 9d. There was a keen competition for store. , -', old merinos selling at 4s 3d, ditto cross-breds at 6s 9d.
Cattle. —Some good nnd prime qutility beef was offered and clenrnd out at fair rates. We quote beef at 17s per IOOIbs. In stores, several dr.-ift young cattle were brought forward, but there !>eing a scarcity of buyers only a few pens were sold.
