Owing to harvest operations not yet being concluded, there was rather a poor attendance at the Addington Yards on Wednesday, when 12,234 sheep and 353 head of cattle were yarded. As the bulk of the medium quality drafts did not rpach owners' limits, they were turned out unsold, while the demand for stores was not so keen as experienced at late sales. There being a scarcity of buyers of merinos many lots were passed in unsold. Several good lines of crossbreds, however, changed hands t prices a shade below late rates. Prime crossbreds sold from lis 3d to lis 6d each, good do. from 9s 8d to 10s, do. in--rino at 6s 6d. Fat lambs realised 8s 9d. Crossbred stores sold at 8s and 8s 6d, merino ewes, full mouthed, at 4s 3d. Cattle.—There was an indifferent supply ot fat cattle, the bulk of which comprised medium and inferior quality lots, for which there wbb a great want of competition throughout the sale, and prices barely up to late rates were obtained. Prime bullocks changed hands at £8 ss, lightweights realised from £6 to £6 10s. Mixed stores sold at £4 15s.
