CORN EXCHANGE REPORT.
The following ia lruin the report for the week ending Friday, March 4 : — Grass-seed still continues in demand, with a rather short supply. Well-cleaned fanueis' samples. 2s GU to 3s 3d ; machine dre.ssed, os Gd to 3s 9d per bushel. Other samples of indifferently cleaned vary so much, quotations cannot be given, the nuiwunt oi cleaning required determining heir value.
Cheese and butter. —The market for the ioriner is extremely heavy, and sales are difficult to effect at any price ; £d under last week's quotatians uiaj be quoted, viz., 3d per lb. The latter is saleable at from to 6£d per lb. Hay.—£2 10s per ton, delivered in Christchurch.
