Theie was a good attendance et the Aldington yards on Wednesday, when 17,727 sheep, 349 head of cattle, and 101 pi<re were offered for sale. The number (({•■"sheep brought forward is the largest, by several thousand, ever yarded at Ad ilington previous to thie. ■Sheep.—Fat lots comprised medium and £ood quality description, and the biddings were quite equal to late sales. Primn rross-breds sold from Hβ 6d to 12s ; good do, from 9s 6d to 10s 9d. Merinos realised irom 7m 6d to Bs. We quote mutton at •id per lb. There was a plentiful supply of lambs, the bulk being fit for trade requirements. Best pens realised 10s; • •there, from 6s 6d to Bs. A very large supply of stores, viz., 24.000 full-mouthed nt°rino ewes, sold from 3s lid to 4s 3d ; four-tooth do at 6a 3d, six-tooth and fullmouth at 4s 9d.
Cattle. —A moderate supply of beef wae brought forward, but there was rather a uragging eale. We quote prime beef at 17s per 1001b ; second quality, 16s per 1001b. Stores, although in a small supply, met with a ready sale.
