Messrs 11. Mntson Rnd Co, report : —On Thursday, at our Canterbury Wool Stores, we helil oui usual weekly sale of the above. There was a large attendandace <;i the trnde with Bpirited competion, a most marked advance in pelts being the consequence. Our catalogue consisted of —2679 sheepskins, 131 bags rough fat, 75 hides, and a few bags and packages tallow, the whole who'e of which wore sold ivt quotations as follows as under viz. • —Butchers' best cross-breda pelts, 2s to 2s lid each; medium, lUd, to Is 5d each; butchers' best merino pelts made Is 6d to Is 10d each ; one line, exceptionally good made 2s 7d each ; second quality Is to Is 5d each ; iridium, 7d to lid each ; dry and inferior, crossbred and merinos, 3d to 9d each ; butchers' be.st rough fat 2d to 2iW, am! one good line 2|d; second quality l|d por;■.inferior, Ifd to IJH per lb ; hides, i l-10ii per lb : damaged hides, 2|d per lb ; calffckma, 4d per lb: tallow in bugs and Una. lgd to k 2id per !b.
