STOCK REPORT.
At the Addington Yards on Wednesday last 8860 sheep, 378 cattle, and 155 pigs were penned. There was a good attendance, and bidding was fair for all rates. Sheep—Notwithstanding the large number of prime fat sheep submitted, the prices ruled fully up to last, week's sale. Best quality cro*sbre<3o realised 12s 3d ; good ditto, from 9s 9d to 9s 10d ; medium quality, from 8s to 8b 9d. Merinos realised from 7s to 7s 10(1. We quote mutton at 2d per lb. Lambs, akhough only in small supply, met with a ready sale. Prime lots sold up to 9s 3d, others from 6s to Bs. A good supply of stores were cleared at late rates.!
Cattle. —The bulk of tho cattle were of an indifferent quality, prices, however, being a shade bettor than last week. Prime beef sold at an average of 17s 6d per lOOib. Steers were in limited supply, two-year-old steers selling nt £4 ss. Pius.—Best lots soid at £2 10s.
